Time to lift the curtain! Why do fitness classes get names like burn, sculpt, build, body tone, or booty blast? How do these fitness classes all have different names yet all have the same format? There are 6 basic athletic traits that are manipulated to see results: Endurance, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Agility Along with this there are measurable aspects of a fitness program: Sets, Repetitions, Load, Volume, Intensity, Frequency, and Duration At Fit in New England our coaches are here to explain the “why”. Why are we doing these exercises in this order at this weight and with this amount of rest? We want everyone to understand and be able to break down each format to its basic principles. This will be of unmeasurable value! Have you ever entered a group fitness class with so many people in the room you could barely see the instructor? Constantly wondering if you were doing the exercises correctly? Our small group classes have a minimum 6:1 ratio of athletes to coaches. Our class size is no more than 12 people. With a full class one coach will be demonstrating exercises and instructing the class while another coach will be walking the room helping each athlete to execute their exercises properly for the best results.
